Second Season Of Endemol Beyond USA'S Hit eSPORTS Series "Legends Of Gaming: Starts Production
February 10, 2016 - Endemol Beyond USA’s SMASHER Network has started production on a second season of hit eSports series “Legends of Gaming” at YouTube Space Los Angeles and Pizza Hut is once again on board as its lead sponsor, it was announced today by Adrian Sexton, Endemol Beyond USA’s interim President and COO.
The second season of “Legends of Gaming” will be hosted by YouTube gaming sensation Syndicate, aka Tom Cassell (11 million subscribers). The new season, which is set to debut in Spring 2016, will include 24 all new episodes featuring 24 of the hottest games.
“We’ve cracked the code with ‘Legends of Gaming’ on developing a successful eSports entertainment franchise,” says Endemol Beyond’s Sexton. “And we couldn’t do it without our partners at Pizza Hut, who very early on saw the value and popularity of eSports, and our new host Syndicate with his 11 million individual subscribers. We’re poised to post another high score in our second season.”

“Legends of Gaming” is based on the Endemol Beyond UK format of the same name, which debuted in 2014 and will be launching its third season shortly. The UK version of “Legends of Gaming” has attracted nearly 60 million views and is the region’s fastest-growing gaming digital channel. In addition to the U.S. and UK, the “Legends of Gaming” format has successfully launched locally in France, Germany and Brazil.
The second season of the U.S. version will include four teams of gamers, many of the top eSports stars in the country, competing for the “Legends of Gaming” trophy.
Season one of Endemol Beyond USA’s “Legends of Gaming” included top YouTube and eSports players including Toby Turner, Tmartin, The Jovenshire, Terroriser, OMGitsfirefoxx, iiJERiiCHOii, Lui Calibre, JD Witherspoon, a.k.a. runJDrun, Fatal1ty, Perfect Legend, HotShottGG and Hafu, who collectively had more than 43 million subscribers and followers and over 6.5 billion lifetime views across social media platforms.
Season two’s host, Syndicate, was formerly a player in both the U.S. and UK versions first seasons of “Legends of Gaming.” In 2014, Syndicate became the first U.S. gamer to reach one million social media followers.
Season one in the U.S. debuted October 7, 2015 on Endemol Beyond USA’s new SMASHER Network, which is available across more than 20 platforms including YouTube, Roku, Tivo, DailyMotion, Amazon Fire and Vessel.
